Dr  Mahesh Y Reddy,
Director General, ILFI

Dr Mahesh Y Reddy is the Director General of ILFI. As Director General, he is responsible for overall operations of ILFI.

Prior to his appointment as Director General, he held several senior positions in national level trade and industry bodies and Government of India in various capacities for 20 years. He was instrumental in conceptualizing and organization of investment promotion events for the states and accompanied the delegations led by Prime Ministers of India, Union Cabinet Ministers and Chief Ministers during international missions and road shows. He had organized successful joint initiatives with most of the economic ministries of the Government of India.

Earlier, Dr Reddy served FICCI for 16 years at various levels including Assistant Secretary General and was instrumental in building and expanding its State level activities. He was also responsible for bringing together human and material resources for launching major investment and business promotion projects.

Dr Reddy represented Indian Industry on several Government of India Committees. He was the Member Secretary, Expert Committee at Ministry of Railways, Government of India, Secretary & CEO of All India Shippers Council (AISC), Secretary General of Association of Shippers Councils of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan & Sri Lanka (ASCOBIPS) and Member of Development Council for Textile Industry (DCTI), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

He has published several articles on trade, industry and infrastructure issues in Economic Times (ET), Financial Express (FE), Hindustan Times (HT) and Mint, etc and appeared in several channels in electronic media.
